Shopping destinations in Namma Bengaluru | StyleMeSwag


♥♥♥ Hello Everyone ♥♥♥

Most of them know i’m a big shopaholic and my main task during weekends would be to shop, so today i thought to share few local street shopping destinations in Bangalore. Few of the places you might already know, but nevertheless share this post with your others so that it would help them. Sharing is caring and it comes for free !! 🙂 

Who doesn’t love shopping, especially every women weekend excitement is shopping, and as we all know Bangalore is known for Multinational companies, and many of my friends who aren’t localities always say that they don’t find anything to shop here, but like how we all know Bangalore is famous for its IT hub we do have awesome street shopping ventures, from budget street shopping destinations to malls with the most exclusive and expensive brands, one can buy whatever their heart desires in Bangalore. 

PS: Don’t forget to bargain your best !! Also, when you visit these places go by public transport like Bus, Auto or cab, as you might not find much parking places, specially during weekends:) 

So today i would be listing few of the shopping destination you gotta visit in #NammaBengaluru ♣♣♣♣ ♥♥♥♥

♠ Commercial street ♠

CommercialStreet

Commercial street is like Sarojini of Delhi/linking road of Mumbai for Bangaloreans. If you’re planning for full fledged shopping then definitely you need to visit Commercial streets, but i would suggest you to make yourself free the whole day so that you can visit each and every nuke and corner of Commercial streets.

Commercial streets has all possible clothing item from Indian to western, traditional sarees to party wear sarees, Accessories, Jewelleries, shoes, handbags etc,. and what not, spend a day in commercial street for shopping and you’re sorted. Also, there are some professional tailoring shops which you can give a try if you want to stitch your grand lehenga or saree blouse.

Commercial street is a mix of Local affordable shopping to high-end branded shopping, there are few branded shops as well which has really good collections. If you’re planning to customize any of your clothing item like saree/churidar(Suit) then you should surely go to Mysore silk udyog if you visit commercial streets.

Tip – Don’t forget to drink Cold Badam milk in bhagatram sweets which will be fully filled with tasty Badam. 🙂 

♠ Gandhi Bazaar ♠

After Commercial street one my favorite shopping destination is Gandhi Bazaar. Can say it’s mini version of Commercial streets.

Gandhi Bazaar is known for traditional religious items, textiles and other trinkets. Apart from that it has really good shops for clothing, accessories and jewellery. If want to shop for any accessories for your own wedding or for attending any wedding or party then you should surely go to Mihalas Bangles store and Bhavani kangan store when you visit Gandhi bazaar, they have amazing collections when it comes to artificial jewelry for wedding or party.

Tip – Don’t forget to eat Famous Masala Dosa in Vidyarthi Bhavan .

♠ Jayanagar 4th block ♠

Jayanagar is one of the beautiful area filled with greenery as well as good for shopping, Jayanagar 4th block itself has BDA complex where you get good affordable clothing, Jewellery and accessories. Also, outside of BDA complex you will see many Branded shop from Max to Soch including all other exclusive Brands. If you planning to do high-end shopping, i would definitely suggest you to visit Jayanagar 4th block.  Also, make sure you visit Bhavani kangan store they do have a branch in Jayanagar as well. 

Tip: Don’t forget to try delicious Desserts in Cool joint, which is near to 4th block Bus stop. 

♠ Malleswaram ♠

Malleswaram is centre of Bangalore, and can say you can remember old greenery Bangalore only in Malleshwaram as of now. Again apart from being beautiful, it is great for shopping, When you go to Malleshwara do go to Sampige Road and Malleswaram 8th cross. It’s good for clothing, accessories, traditional sarees and you would get everything you’re looking for. 

Tip: Don’t forget to eat hot and spicy masala dosa in CTR. 

♠ Brigade Road ♠

Brigade Road is one of the biggest commercial centres and busiest shopping areas of Bangalore.It has many shopping centres and retail outlets of international brands. Brigade is best for western wear  or party wear shopping. The perks of visit Brigade road is you would get good parking facility. 

Note:Shopkeepers may quote more price than usual, make sure Bargain wisely. 

♠ Chickpet ♠

Chickpet is One of Bangalore’s oldest commercial areas. Historically known for supplying fine silk sarees to the royalty, this place houses a number of shops dealing in silk sarees, textiles, gold and silver.You can get many innovative and creative items for your household. You can get clothes across all price ranges and varieties, but you need to have the patience to look for it. It has good shops for Silk sarees like Kanjivaram, Pochampalli or Banaras silk, also it has good collection of Jewellery and accessories. 

♠ Dubai plaza ♠

Dubai Plaza is a small shopping complex set up by Tibetan immigrants, Dubai Plaza is located on church Street or rest road in Bangalore and is known to offer the coolest party wear in the city. An ideal place to go shopping if you’re looking to go for a dress for any party or for western wear.It has rows of stalls offer items ranging from shoes to clothes, bags and wallets to cosmetic products, imported merchandise like perfumes and accessories.

♠ Avenue road ♠

Avenue road i best place in Bangalore when it comes to buying and selling books. But apart from books it also hosts a wide range of jewelers and textile merchants. But you might not find that great collections when it comes to clothes and accessories but you would surely get affordable items. Also in avenue road you will get lot of creative items for making paper quilling or any arts and crafts. 

♠ Banashankari bda complex ♠

Linking-Road_mumbai

Banashankari bda complex is similar to that of Jayanagar bda complex, many wouldn’t know about this complex unless you’re localities. It had good affordable clothing items as well as accessories. Also you will get many customizable aircrafts. Also nearby you can find health and glow store for your cosmetic needs. 

Tip: It has many street food store, do check.
